Business Development Manager with experience in Events or Marketing & Communications industries!
Strategic Exhibitions & Conferences is looking to hire Business Development Manager who will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, The BDM is responsible for securing new business and projects for the company. To carry out client servicing, managing projects to ensure timely delivery, within set quality standards and achieving profitability.
She/he is responsible for identifying, contacting, and networking with potential contributors & entities. Their position includes establishing & maintaining contact with said contributors, promoting the benefits of participation in the respective show and building and maintaining a network with approached contributors.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities :
1) Sales Target – achievement of monthly sales target as per the projects allocated
2) Market research
Identifying sponsors & exhibitors in their allocated projects
Building database of possible contributors
Researching contributors in the database and estimating the value of each contributor
Maintaining a database of contributors who actually participated
3) Sales & Marketing-
Establishing contact with sponsors & exhibitors in database through individual approach
Maintain contact with possible contributors through follow up
Negotiation of terms of participation, sending of sales contracts, receiving signed & stamped sales contracts
Contacting and establishing participation contracts with previous contributors which have been acquired from the individual sales executive
4) Operations
Creation of an individual pipeline outlining the activities and workload of the individual sales executive in accordance with the paramount project pipeline and timeline
Researching and visiting relevant exhibitions and shows in the sales executive’s allocated region
Updating floor plan in regards to the availability
5) Reporting
Creation of weekly sales report
CRM system entry & updates
Participating in weekly meetings
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business related subject or equivalent.
3-4 years of experience in Business Development & Sales preferably in Exhibitions, Conferences or Events management
Excellent communication and presentation skills in Arabic & English
Solid knowledge of Sales management and B2B sales pipeline management
Familiarity with analytical, productivity, and reporting tools
