Field Service Engineer – Industrial & Marine Gearbox

Location : Dubai
Salary : Upto AED 8,000/-

Our client, a leading gearbox manufacturer for industrial and marine division seeks to hire a field Service engineer to be stationed in Dubai. The role requires commuting and providing explicit services including installations and after service/checks throughout UAE. Successful incumbent’s must be a mechanical engineer by profession. Please find the below key result’s areas to be eligible for the role.

KRA’s

Carrying out Overhauling of Gearboxes at customer locations/Workshops as required.
Perform Inspection and troubleshooting activities at site locations to diagnose problems, determine an appropriate resolution, and implements corrective action.
Submission of technical reports in accordance with enity’s guidelines and Standards.
Perform installation, Pre-commissioning, commissioning, troubleshooting, and overhauling activities at customer site locations.
Under the direction of the Service Manager, perform a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of gearboxes, their controls, and propulsion system.
Provide training and instruction to customers on system operations.
Promote service & spare parts sales for the product.
Perform other related engineering tasks to facilitate proper gearbox work until complete customer satisfaction.
Ensure appropriate response and service are provided to customers.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college.
Minimum 4-5 years of field service and commissioning experience.
In total, experience at least 3 -5 years of experience in Maintenance / Overhauling of engine/gearboxes. Gearbox experience would be preferred.
Basic Understanding of Ship’s Propulsion controls and their functioning. Troubleshooting skills in Electrical Systems, Hydraulic systems, and their components is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of ISO (Quality) & OHSAS (Health & Safety) practices in the marine industry.
