We are looking for a Senior Procurement Engineer with 6+ years of experience to process the approved purchase requests as per the department rules, ensure the proper inflow of all kind of materials to all plants and sites, negotiate pricing deals with local and international vendors, and keep records of all transactions.
Rules and responsibilities include:
Negotiating prices and deals with all suppliers in the local and international markets
Processing purchase requests from plants and sites
Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
Checking budgeted cost of purchases versus actual offers, and recommend the most suitable suppliers
Establishing professional relationships with suppliers and vendors
Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
Coordinating with the plant executives to monitor the stock levels and the arrival of materials
Coordinating with the logistics department for international shipments
Reviewing the quality of purchased products with the concerned personnel
Updating the vendor list including all needed suppliers’ information
Maintaining updated records of the purchased products, prices, and delivery information
Preparing periodic reports related to purchases and cost analysis
Job Requirements include:
BS/MS degree in Engineering or equivalent, from a renowned university
6+ years of procurement experience in a reputable organization
Ability to perform and analyze complex products and financial analysis related to raw materials and other products within the industry
MS Office (Excel, Word…) and the needed software
Clear communication (verbal and in writing)
Ability to meet deadline, and to be detail-oriented
Ability to negotiate deals and contracts with external parties
