They also conduct research on tax issues, prepare and file tax returns, and assist with any tax audits. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and up-to-date knowledge of tax laws are crucial in this role.
Responsibilities
– Offer expert advice to businesses on corporate tax matters.
– Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant documents to determine tax liabilities.
– Develop effective tax planning strategies to optimize the client’s tax position.
– Conduct research on complex tax issues and stay updated with changing tax laws and regulations.
– Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns for corporate clients.
– Provide support during tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
– Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
– Communicate tax concepts and strategies clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.
– Stay up to date with market trends and developments in tax planning.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or certification in Taxation is a plus.
– Proven experience as a tax consultant or in a similar tax-related role.
– In-depth knowledge of corporate tax laws and regulations.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Proficient in using tax software and other relevant tools.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
– Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
