Marketing manager in the hotel industry is responsible for maximizing hotel’s revenues. A hotel marketing manager must maintain awareness of the factors that influence the hotel industry and gain a deep understanding of the needs and attitudes of a hotel’s customers. The marketing manager is also responsible for coordinating marketing and promotional activities to meet guests’ needs, working closely with other hotel staff to ensure guests are satisfied with the facilities and their time there.
Responsibilities:
1. Being passionate about the Hotel Industry & Conduct Marketing Research
2. Build Customer Relationships
3. Liaison with Staff and Managers
4. Obtains market share by developing marketing plans and programs for each service, directing promotional support;
5. Maintain and promote a team work environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers;
6. Have in-depth knowledge of the Hotel Market in Kerala
7. Maintains a research database by identifying and assembling marketing information.
8. Effectively managing to hit sales targets.
9. Sets short and long-term Marketing plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of the current marketing and sales programs;
10. Determines annual and gross profit plans by forecasting and developing annual marketing quotas;
11. Carry out competitor’s analysis to ensure the company’s strategy is competing effectively;
12. Monitor and keep up with trends in Social Media applications, strategy, and designs;
13. Accomplishes sales and marketing objectives by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertising promotion programs;
Requirements for an Ideal Candidate (Marketing Manager – Hotel)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Marketing or equivalent Degree
• 3+ years’ experience in Marketing within Hospitality/Hotels;
• Vast knowledge in financial planning and strategy, marketing concepts, and sales planning;
• Excellent negotiation skills;
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
