Responsibilities

Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs.
Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
Delegating tasks and supervising the work of Purchasing and Procurement Agents across all departments.
Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
Leading a team of Purchasing Officers/Executives and delegate tasks across departments when necessary.
Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
Managing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement for the organization.
Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business.
Preparing procurement reports.
Familiar with different Steel Grades and Sizes of Steel raw material available in KSA market as well as in international market.
Familiar with specifications/grades/sizes/brands of assorted accessories used in Steel Fabrication Industry.
Should have a strong relationship with all major vendors of steel raw material, accessories & consumables supplies in Steel Fabrication Industry in KSA market as well as in international market.
Creating policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation.
Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
Performs all other duties as may be directed by the CEO from time to time.

Qualifications

MBA in Supply Chain Management/M.Com/M. Sc.
Minimum 10 years’ proven Experience on the position of Procurement manager/Supply Chain Manager in the Fabrication, Manufacturing of Steel Industries.
Certification in Project Management/PMP will be preferable.
