We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to support our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) team in Bahrain branch in its business activities.
Responsibilities:
Prepare Credit Recommendation memorandums for use by the Bank in making commercial lending decisions on new loan/investments requests, as well as the renewal, modification and extension of existing loans/investments.
Review pertinent credit and financial information.
Prepare financial statement spreads.
Analyze financial statements and related materials. Research borrowers, guarantors, and industry data.
Prepare detailed analysis, present facts, and address questions concerning the credit worthiness of a relationship.
Utilize tact and knowledge to respond to and resolve credit/lending issues.
Review documentation on existing loans as part of the annual review process.
Update and manage relevant internal and external sources of data.
Performs credit administration, account servicing (including but not limited to, covenant compliance and monitoring and periodic financial reviews), loan closing, documentation, and monitoring.
Assist the RM/ CIB Head in the operation of the client’s facilities and/or accounts.
To facilitate client discussions when required by the RM/CIB Head.
Monitor portfolio asset quality on an ongoing basis and prepare necessary MIS reports
Assist the CIB Head in annual budget exercise and periodic business forecast exercise.
Keep the RM / Head of CIB apprised of key news events pertaining to markets, portfolio and clients.
Conduct ad hoc projects, analyses, and other support to relevant stakeholders as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Must have a master’s degree in business administration / Economics or CFA or a Chartered Accountant.
Must have an overall experience of at least 8 years in corporate /Institutional Banking and with minimum 5 years in Credit/ Financial Analyst role.
Effective team player and flexibility to interact with multiple teams.
Strong analytical & presentation skills.
Rigour & precision in analysis and preparation of credit memos/reports.
Ability to interact with clients interdependently during the credit onboarding and due diligence process.
Effective Communicator (both oral and written)
Knowledge of the GCC markets and risk governing this environment.
Arabic proficiency would be an advantage.
