Chef Middle East is looking for a seasoned and experienced Operations Manager.
The Warehouse and Operations Manager is responsible for receiving and storing product effectively by improving the design and development efficient movement and storage systems. The ideal candidate would need to have direct ownership and accountability for the distribution plan and manages the warehouse operations by projecting, dispatching, and storing products. To ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly, they would need to forecast the product volume and create pick-up and drop-off schedules, while managing warehouse staff.

Primary Responsibilities
Oversee warehouse operations, making sure workers complete tasks quickly, effectively and correctly
Supervision of assets, inventory, and stock items as well as the flow of goods from suppliers to warehouse and from this facility to customers.
Ensuring coordination between delivery team and sales team thus ensuring On Time Delivery (OTD) to customers.
Establish safety policies and enforce them to prevent unnecessary accidents at all times
Resolve warehouse issues, implementing negotiation and conflict resolution techniques
Accomplishes warehouse operations by recruiting, selecting, training, and coaching employees.
Double-check the postings of day-to-day transactions on system including Inbounds in order to reflect accurate inventory and ensure these transactions have proper approvals with no delays.
Maintain and monitor Shift Cost Effectiveness, Housekeeping, and Equipment Control.
Lead daily cycle count and semi-annual stock counts execution, scrutinize reconciliation and thoroughly investigate variances & shortages and constantly monitor items with discrepancies.
Control movement of stock to and from damage/destruction and hold locations including checking all corresponding system entries.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
· College/University education diploma; or minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in similar field of managing inventory or a warehouse.
Significant WMS experience and understanding
Experience of using spreadsheets and other PC based packages is essential.
Proven experience with MS Office
Fluency in English and Arabic language – must be able to read, write and speak in both Arabic and English
Effective interpersonal skills to successfully work with local government agencies.
Advanced organizational and administration skills.
