Responsibilities
Promote and encourage positive behaviors in support of the achievement of a positive health & safety culture in the workplace.
Monitors compliance of project personnel and subcontractors running activities on the approved Project Safety Plan and safety procedures and processes, method statements, and associated risk assessments.
Assess, communicate, and monitor HSE performance and compliance in line with statutory and client requirements.
Supports in assisting the implementations of evacuation plans and emergency drills.
Proactively approaches for implementing HSE and asset management procedures & guidelines.
Communicate effectively with site personnel and colleagues to promote Health and Safety at Work.
Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
Responsible for the documentation of the daily routine inspections inside and outside the plant.
Support the delivery of training and awareness sessions as required.
Review and comment on contractors HSE Documents and Method Statements and Risk Assessments for compliance.
Conduct HSE Inspections and audits of projects and management systems and concisely asses’ levels of compliance with current company, client, and legal requirements.
Develop and apply technical knowledge relevant to the specific HSE risks associated with our activities.
Maintain a current knowledge of Local and International Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of HSE within the construction industry.
Hold a BSc or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Hold a NEBOSH /IOSH /OSHA 30 Hours Construction Trained & Certification.
Have an internal / external auditing qualification, ISO 45001, 14001 or 9001 (Preferred).
Experience on Water & Wastewater utilities or other infrastructure is preferred.
Fluent in English.
Be proactive and able to work on your own initiative.
Analytical skills and quality-oriented mindset.
