Khazzan Logistics Management Services
Position available for a Road Safety Supervisor, working in a remote desert location in Oman on a two week on, two week off basis. You will be supervising a road safety officer, helping to keep our client’s roads safe. Due to the contract, this position is only available to Omani candidates.
Candidates must have both 5 year’s road safety and 2 year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
Check and report any issues impacting road safety environment or security.
Write routine correspondence to Company representative including reports and log activity. Reports and log activity frequency would be daily/weekly/monthly depending on the type of reports.
Attend toolbox talks /daily morning meeting with HSSE team and Company’s field service coordinator before starting the duty.
Regularly participating Contractors gate meetings, road safety forums as a client representative to raise awareness of safe driving behaviour and educate drivers on certain road safety issues as and when required.
Wear the PPE uniform and an additional (yellow coloured) reflective vest.
Practice defensive driving and follow ROP and client rules and regulations. In all cases, the Road Safety Team should avoid reckless driving.
Select routes/spot check point which provide best visibility and avoid obstructions to road users.
Liaison with all contractor’s management at the client concession area to develop road safety improvement pan/ road map and ensure the effective implementation.
Review the road safety performance report of all contracts on monthly basis and advise the way of improvement.
Conduct driver counselling session with all road safety offenders
Ensure the correct implementation of OPAL consequence matrix
Participate in all motor vehicle incident (MVI) investigation and provide the initial report
Propose and recommend effective road safety solutions to enhance road safety performance of the client and Contractors.
Any other relevant tasks assigned by the company.
Qualifications
Technical diploma or high secondary school as minimum.
5 years’ experience in the road safety domain with at least 2 years in supervisory role.
RoSPA qualification on road safety or equivalent desirable.
Proven and solid light and heavy vehicle trade experience.
Mechanical background would be a plus, Professional driver with ROP/DDC Driving license.
Have all essential training for Health Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE).
High level of computer literacy.
Understanding of Oman traffic law, OPAL road safety standards
Good communicator and hardworking, committed and having signs of leadership.
Fluent in English and Arabic reading/writing in both Arabic and English. Hindi would plus.
Ability to manage diverse and changeable workload with minimal supervision.
Good skills in road safety incidents investigation and analysis.
A self-starter with a strong delivery-oriented attitude.
Excellent organizational & administration skills.
Medically fit for the position.
Relevant experience in such a position in the field of Oil & Gas industry.
