The Photographer/Videographer is responsible for creating high-quality, emotive motion and still imagery to support Pencilvent & its clients brand and marketing/communications goals. The Photographer/Videographer works full-time hours & performs the planning and producing of photo/video shoots and completing all post-production processing.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the timely creation of storyboards for photo-shoots, videos, social media content, & even instructional videos
Shoots and edits photos and video imagery
Scripting and editing video in a way that increases shareability for social media outreach
Collaboration with internal creative department, and marketing team
Stays up to date with trends, market standards, and has the ability to integrate them into video and photography
Ability to work with a positive attitude, and contribute to group creative discussions
Works well with a team and thrives on creative storytelling through media as well as meeting individual design goals, in a fast-paced, creative environment
Work cooperatively with professional staff to accomplish departmental goals and meet established deadlines
Qualifications & Requirements:
Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong conceptual ability with knowledge of lighting, composition, camera/lens combinations, theory and techniques of modern digital photography and cinematography
Ability to deal effectively with internal and external inquiries through proactive and helpful communication
Excellent management skills and the ability to prioritize work and maintain equipment
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Knowledgeable of best export/encoding practices for delivery across a wide range of channels: high-resolution still photography for print, HD/UHD video for broadcast, and optimised video and stills for social media including: YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat.
