Our client, an exciting government entity is looking for a Director of Digital and Social Media to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The Director will be responsible for lead the strategy, design, delivery and measurement of digital and social media across the organisation.
The role:
– Overall responsibility for digital and social media strategy and content across a range of high-profile channels, including ideation, delivery and analytics
– Deliver human-centred, engaging and purposeful digital and social media content aligned to the organisation’s priorities and activities
– Oversee all digital design and delivery of integrated storytelling campaigns, including analytics
– Ensure digital and social media activity is data-driven and support the team to deliver regular reporting and actionable insight
– Build relations with external digital storytelling stakeholders, as well as partners and providers
– Understand media relations and the role of digital channels in managing news outputs, as well as crisis communications
– Be a social media expert and think creatively about where digital is going next
– Mentor, motivate and support the team to continually learn and develop specialist tools and skills
Requirements:
– Family Book holder
– Minimum of 12 years’ experience in digital and social media communications
– Minimum bachelor’s degree, or higher
– Proven experience at a senior level of leading integrated campaigns, driving creative and impactful storytelling and managing issues
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
– Ability to think on your feet and deliver to tight deadlines
– Track record of designing and implementing creative social media solutions
– Good understanding of current affairs, media and what makes content engaging and newsworthy
– Expertise in social media and digital platforms with an eye to leading edge innovation
– Strong analytical skills and a learning mindset
