What They Are Looking For
Our client is looking for a Chief Technology Officer reporting to the CEO responsible for the long-range direction of an organization’s technology and product functions. Who directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology solutions and infrastructure. Maintains technology standards for the organization.
Directs the activities necessary to keep the technology infrastructure running seamlessly, efficiently, and effectively while ensuring compliance with established standards and policies. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Connected to the Financial Services data community.
Your Responsibilities
·Support the overall Finance ware leadership team and CEO as needed on a case by case basis.
·Be the outwardly facing technology lead for our organization involved with external activities such as conferences, industry groups, and clients.
·Project planning with the Finance ware management team.
·Develops, monitors, and updates project/product plans.
·Identifies, clarifies, and manages project issues.
·Manages project resources, both internal and external, including other project managers.
·Monitors project performance including deliverables, resource effectiveness, and quality.
·Ensures all policies and procedures are updated and disseminated to staff.
·Directs the Disaster Recovery planning and testing processes.
·Participate in the security, risk management, and business impact analysis as required by the board of directors.
·Assist in the ongoing enhancement of the processes for Change Management, Release Management, Incident Management, Development Methodologies/Life Cycle, and the Internal Web sites for process control and knowledge sharing.
Desired Requirements
·Significant experience dealing with financial services data, trading, all exchanges (including the data content), and custodian environments.
·Software development experience.
·Expertise in network and infrastructure.
·Ability to create thoughtful, specific product and technology roadmaps and execution plans.
·Strong ability to build, influence, lead, and motivate effective teams to achieve desired results.
·Ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight.
·Expert ability to write and present effective project materials, including presentations and status reports.
·Experience supporting sales and client management efforts.
·Ability to effectively identify and resolve project issues.
·Excellence at working effectively with all levels of staff, clients, vendors, and other third parties.
