ROLE PURPOSE
To perform financial analysis and research, conduct valuation analysis, provide forecasts on business, industry and economic conditions and to present recommendations on various investment products, mutual funds, fund managers and investment opportunities to the Head Financial Economic.
Also, to focus on data integrity, system control and design, implementing new projects, and provide support in all financial and business development modules..
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Budget
Support activities around the preparation, management and communication of the annual budget in order to ensure alignment with Marafiq’s budgeting process.
Generate budget explanations using spreadsheets and graphic illustrations in order to provide full rationales.
2. Investment Research for Business Development
Research and collate financial, market and economic information for the purpose of presenting various investment analyses and conduct complex studies to determine cost of business development activities to provide statistical and financial data.
Monitor fundamental economic, industrial and corporate developments, including constant analysis of information obtained from various financial publications and services, investment banking firms, governmental agencies, trade publications, company sources and personal interviews.
Extract key data for the purpose of developing future financial and economic models for investment purposes.
Analyse and interpret data affecting investment programs including pricing, yield, stability, future trends, investment risks and economic theory so as to evaluate the performance of various investment programs. Run detailed primary research, both Macro and Micro, in order to create a compelling and robust analysis and valuation platform, to truly add value and competitive advantage to the investing effort.
3. Financial Modules
Streamline processes and documentation within the finance section and maintain financial systems configurations.
Implement organizational changes within finance section and restructure financial systems setups.
Implement new changes in Memorandum of Association- MoA and reflect it in the Enterprise Resource Planning- ERP system and applications.
4. Variances
Identify variances between actual versus budget at the end of each reporting period and highlight it to the relevant stakeholders to take appropriate action if need be.
5. Financial Analysis
Support business plans and aim to estimate future financial needs through analysis of previous budgets, economic trend data and financial developments to assess their impact on Marafiq’s projects, business development, potential income and spending.
6. Reports
Demonstrate excellent internal and external customer service on all budgeting issues and financial reports and report it to the stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment.
Assist in the development of reports and provision of recommendations based on financial analysis so as to ensure proper reporting on a timely basis.
7. Policies & Procedures
Comply with the implementation of departmental policies and procedures, to ensure that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are fulfilled.
8. Health, Safety & Quality
Comply with all relevant health, safety and quality requirements, in order to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.
9. Development of Financial models
Have the capability to develop financial models whenever is needed for work to assess investment opportunities.
10. Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘leading best practices’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Educational & Professional Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economics
– Been working in this sector for at least 5 years
– Proficiency in English is a must
Minimum Experience:
5 to 10 years of relevant experience
