SAFEER (www.safeer-solar.com) is a joint venture between TotalEnergies and Altaaqa, which offers industrial and commercial clients the route to accessing solar energy, via a lease model. SAFEER’s goal is to deliver cost-effective, reliable solar energy solutions across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Accountabilities:
Cover all the technical / engineering aspects of the ongoing projects.
Assess site technical constraints and consumption, and evaluate feasibility stage project configurations, characteristics and risks.
In offer preparation phase, fully understand customer’s needs by coordination with sales team, perform technical due diligence of the site as needed (assess site technical constraints and consumption, evaluate feasibility stage project configurations, characteristics and risks), and optimize the commercial offer through PV system performance, technical solution costs, robustness and quality. This may entail relying on external engineering resources.
Prepare and follow-up with external resources for local approvals and regulatory obligations.
Have a local knowledge of permitting process and ensure smooth process completion
Liaise with Total`s Dubai technical services for technical specifications use and continuous improvement, and with remote engineering support when applicable.
Select and on-board suppliers including EPCs and engineering consultants, in full respect of New Products, HSE, Quality and compliance guidelines and specifications.
Assist and engage in techno-commercial negotiations with EPC and maintain relationships with key customers, to ensure equipment and contractors are optimally and sustainably procured.
Oversee project management plan and review the status of ongoing projects, be responsible of on time delivery of project within the specified project budget
Lead and manage activities of projects construction plan with focus on safety, quality, budget and planning.
Oversee the operations and maintenance related to all projects and being in charge for billing and asset management
Support preparation of dossiers to be submitted to internal investment committees.
Supervise commissioning and testing of the plant, then manage operation and maintenance, in line with set contractual objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Aptitude:
University Degree in Electrical engineering or Business Administration or relevant field
Min 5-year experience with small & large projects management (up to ~15-20M USD), and EPC knowledge
Deep knowledge in solar development projects (preferably C&I)
Experience of the KSA (and Bahrain) context in electrical norms, renewable energy regulations, construction codes, is a plus.
Experience in high Operational & Management positions along with delivering important and high standard PV projects.
