JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECT MANAGER
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare the Erection Budget, Erection MOS & erection schedule based on agreement with Client.
Coordinate with engineering dept. to release the drawings for fabrication according site required and as per client priority & follow the production & delivery status.
Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them at site.
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, and personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with operations manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Prepare full report for progress / status and manpower working in the site to submit to operations manager.
Supervise the execution of the project based on the set project plan, while ensure adherence to technical, budgetary, quality and safety requirements.
Ensures all established costs, quality, delivery and installations commitments are met.
Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and departments to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Coordinate with QA & QC department in assessing the quality issues, closure of internal & external NCR’s conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Deal with clients & consultants for technical issues related to fabrication & erections works, if any & resolve them efficiently.
Assist & guide his subordinates for the preparation of work permit, risk assessment & method of statement for fabrication & erection as per project requirement.
Assist & advise erection team to raise & get MIR for the delivered material at site & to get IR for the erected Projects. Also responsible for follow up & collection of PC & TOC’s.
Liaising with any consultants, engineers, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
Leads and supports the project team all the way until the project is successfully finished and delivered to the client.
Solve any problem or issue that might arise with the client through the execution of the project.
Provides effective leadership of his staff to facilitate their growth and increased knowledge of the project, including evaluating and managing their performance.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel, manages and tracks all materials and resources involved in the project execution to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Reviews the management process after the project is over in order to identify any steps in the process that can be improved upon for future project. Ensure compliance with department & company wide policies and procedures, applicable laws, rule and regulations, environment, health and safety regulations.The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Performs all other duties as may be directed by the Operations Manager from time to time.
Qualification required: BE/B. Tech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, ME/M. Tech preferred. Minimum 10 years’ proven Experience of handling Project Team in the Fabrication, Manufacturing of Steel Industries. Certification in Project Management/PMP is mandatory.
Skills required: Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera. High level of knowledge of industry standards. Ability to read and interpret Blueprints, Good Supervision Skills. Strong leadership personality. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office. Good Communication Skills. Knowledge of Health and Safety Practices. Knowledge of TEKLA (20 version) Structures software and Auto Cad will be an advantage.
