An Experienced Engineer Is required to Join a well-established company in Oman specializing in geotechnical and material testing. The Candidate should have a solid experience in material testing and geotechnical investigation. Moreover, He should be familiar with the requirements of ISO 17025. Adding to that, the candidate should have solid experience in managing a lab, and the team in it and working with the different departments in the company to maintain its performance and output.
Responsibilities
Ability to develop the civil & Geotechnical lab policies to get ISO 17025 Certification.
Conduct tests on all materials used in highway construction per stipulations and specifications laid down in the contract.
Conduct all field tests, lab tests & special tests for Construction materials, roads, and geotechnical-related aspects.
Verify and certify the quality of materials and completed works.
Prepare & Maintain a record of test results.
Conduct tests to establish job mix/mix design for sub-base, base course, asphalt concrete, cement concrete, and sequence of laying and testing.
Monitor laboratory equipment and obtain calibration certificates for it.
To attend day-to-day service activities.
New protocol standardization and validation.
Provide field service support including validation, troubleshooting and etc.
Handle customer complaints related to lab services.
Conduct technical classes and service training for customers, End-users, and the marketing team.
Develop work based on the company plans.
Develop laboratory KPIs with regard to tests completed and staff performance.
Candidate might need to visit sites inside and outside the city.
Train lab technicians to maintain lab performance and progress.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering.
Not less than 5 years of relevant experience Including experience with ISO 17025.
Experience in customer service management and service documentation
Possess good presentation skills and good communication skills in English
Able to work independently under a strict timeline.
Ability to multitask under pressure to meet deadlines.
Good negotiation skills and customer relation skills.
Team player and ability to work within a multi-racial environment.
