Electrical Designer

Position Designer

Reports/ directs Reports to: Head of the Department

Job summary Performs designs for safe, operable and economic standards

Helps ensures the designs meet the quality and project requirements

Performs as Lead Designer (small projects), Support designer (major projects) and executes project design works

Main business processes

– Management Acts as Leave replacement to other Designers as appropriate

– Quality/HSE Performs Discipline check and Inter-discipline check of documents

Ensures that the required integrity and quality of the work is maintained

Understands the Quality/HSE Management system and their procedures

– Project Execution Executes the design works within budget and schedule

Co-ordinates with other disciplines & resolves the design interface issues

Ensures design packages meet the relevant safety, environmental & ergonomic standards

Discusses with junior designers regularly on work progress, man-hours and schedule etc

Understands the Company procedures and relevant standards & codes

– Business Development –

– Planning & Scheduling Provides input to the Lead Engineers/ Designers in planning and scheduling of works

– Contracting & Procurement –

Supporting processes Including but not limited to

– Human resources –

Job Requirements

Language: Good in spoken and written English

Education: Diploma in engineering or Equivalent

Professional Experience: 5 years in Design /drafting in Oil &Gas projects

Good technical knowledge of related discipline

Familiar with the organization and system procedures.
