Responsibilities
The Social-Emotional/Social Worker at a school in the UAE is responsible for providing comprehensive social and emotional support to students, promoting their well-being, and addressing their emotional, behavioral, and social needs. This role involves working closely with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff to create a positive and supportive school environment.
Eligibility to apply:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work with UAE experience
Relevant certification or licensure in counseling or social work from MOE
Experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents.
Strong understanding of child development, behaviour management, and counseling techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students, parents, and staff.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
Knowledge of UAE cultural norms and understanding of the local education system is advantageous.
