Assist in managing the operations of the infrastructure section. Enhance efficiency in operations by maintaining and repairing servers and associated hardware and accessories. Identify user requirements and ensure timely resolution of these. Support and maintain data storage related functions. Administer server system and other hardware and software associated therewith. Ensure completion of assigned activities as per timelines and defined quality standards. Be available for stand by and call out duties as and when necessary. Undertake any other duties as assigned by his/her department head.
Main Duties
o Identify infrastructure support section’s operational requirements and coordinate with various stakeholders within section to execute these efficiently
o Conduct extensive secondary research and leverage market intelligence studies / reports to assess technical viability of server/data storage programs; this includes feasibility studies/complex technical studies of operations, identify areas of improvement in operational procedures.
o Key point of contact for providing administrative access rights / user control rights across levels within BAS; this includes monitoring BAS Domain, Exchange and Active Directory, adding and deleting approved users, mailboxes, modifying and managing different access level controls of users on different applications
o Identify latest data management protocols and procedures (in manual) and translate these into easy work processes
o Liaise with external entities to obtain and integrate data storage requirements.
o Conduct extensive secondary research on latest data storage and management guidelines/processes and coordinate with seniors to incorporate these in BAS context.
o Ensure adherence to server security protocols in accordance to Disaster Management Recovery mechanisms.
o Key point of contact for seniors for updates on technical support status and queries.
o Monitor escalations and resolve queries as required ensuring uninterrupted operations. Refer to seniors as and when required.
o Monitor efficiency in handling data management measures through adherence of strict quality standards established and in compliance with procedures.
o Identify discrepancies/escalations if any, investigate and report accordingly to seniors.
o Implement processes and policies related to infrastructure support section to ensure the operational efficiency of the unit.
o Comply with the Company and Airport authorities’ health, safety, and security regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Degree in Computer Science/Professional Diploma in Computer Applications.
Experience:
2-3 years experience in data support operations of a large organization / airline.
Other Essential Requirements:
A professional certificate in infrastructure/data management and storage is an added advantage.
