Title: Safety Officer – HSE Industry
Function: Health Safety & Environment
Reporting to: HSE Manager
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Role Functions
Conduct safety inspections/audits
Surveys and surveillance and site auditing for compliance.
Conduct investigation of all accidents/Occupational health issues and suggest recommendations.
Monitoring activities during critical operations.
Provide technical expertise on HSE related matters to the organization to safely execute the operational demands as required.
Provide technical expertise on safety related to the operation modules, including hazardous work and confined space entries, and participating in issuing permits as required.
Consult on other safety related issues, including interpretation of safety procedures and regulations.
Conduct Safety meeting (Monthly, Pre-Job safety meeting).
Carrying out of work permit audit.
Responsible to be active on-scene participant & leader of emergency situations.
Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (Fire Fighting, work at height, manual handling, handling hazardous material etc.)
Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures, personnel orientations, training, & drills.
Support the development of HSE policies and programs.
Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.
Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy and apply and implement Company hazard observation system
Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
Develop and implement HazCom program onsite
Regular Maintenance of fire fighting system and Preventive Maintenance
Apply the company hazardous materials segregation onsite
Enhance and develop ERGONOMICS onsite
Maintain and JSA to all non routine jobs required a PTW
Maintain SDS and update if needed
Requirements:
Diploma or Higher Education
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HSE and the Chemical Industry
Currently based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Male candidates holding Saudi National IDs only
