Rockford Xellerix is a leading provider of embedded systems and wiring solutions for the aerospace and defense industries.  We are looking for an experienced radar power electronics and RF Design Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing RF transmitter/receiver, architecture, performance analysis, implementation, and testing in support of advanced RF board-level products.

Responsibilities

Designs and develops RF solutions as a part of a board-level product.
Experienced with the selection of components for RF, digital, power conversion and optimized power transmission
Experienced in EMC/EMI and IPC Class 3 design and development practices
Knowledge and experience in design of schematics and PCB layout.
Experienced in power conversion AC/DC, DC/AC and DC/DC.
Knowledge of VITA backplanes and interfaces for RF and high-speed connectivity
Experience in prototype testing and environmental testing
Works in a team environment to design, develop and test advanced RF / Radar PCB board-based systems

General Requirements

B.Sc. or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
7 to 10 years of experience in RF circuit design and a minimum of 3 years as RF amplifier design
Must have experienced with using RF-Signal generator, Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, frequency and phase meter
Strong teamwork capabilities
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously
Strong knowledge or RF subsystems: frequency synthesizers, reference oscillators, phase-lock loops, frequency multipliers, low noise amplifiers, up and down converters, power amplifiers, modulators, high-speed A/D & D/A converters and IF to baseband converters.
Good writing skills to generate relevant engineering documentation.
Knowledge of RF/Microwave CAD tools such as Keysight ADS is essential.
