We are currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Foremen.

Responsibilities:

​​​​​​​The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Daily review of the work schedule with his supervisor
To ensure that correct tools and personal protective equipment are used on site at all times
To make sure employees have the right tools and equipment needed for job in order to ensure quality output
To ensure that his team is working safely, in line with ALEC FITOUT company policy and procedures, making certain that signs and regulations on site are adhered to
To ensure that all works are completed using the appropriate safety equipment
To ensure the most suitable materials are used for each construction activities
To calculate the quantities of materials required, by accurately measuring the activity, and ensuring these materials are orders timeously
To be responsible for and manage all hazardous materials on site, ensuring they are labeled, stored, managed and used appropriately
To ensure each task is planned and that the correct materials and resources are available
To evaluate the best way to do the job in order to minimize the cost without sacrificing the quality of the work carried out
To organize, prioritize time and distribute the workload to his team according to their know-how
To read and interpret technical drawings in order to give clear directions to Chargehand, Tradesmen and Labour in regards to the work that needs to be done to avoid repeating mistakes
To deliver each job on time to the required quality standards
To understand how the contract impacts the environment and ensure actions are taken to minimize this impact
To record activity on site and ensure that productivity is at optimum level through implementing productivity improvement initiative
To understand the financial consequences of his decisions
To prepare for and conduct quality checks on his team’s work
To solve minor problems and report the complex ones to his manager
To maintain a healthy work climate between workers in a way to prevent conflicts motivate the team and encourage teamwork at all levels
To provide, on a daily basis, accurate work progress status report to his manager.

Requirements and Skills:

Over 2 years’ experience as Junior Foreman
Knowledge in Fit out trades (marble, wood, glazing, painting, etc.)
Ability to communicate with workers and managers
Reliable, independent & proactive
Good analysis and observation skills
Good leadership, management, planning and motivational skills
Time management skills
Good written and oral communication in the English language
Certified First Aider
