We are currently in search of a seasoned and accomplished International Baccalaureate (IB) English Teacher who demonstrates an unwavering commitment to advancing the comprehensive development of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Design and Implementation:
Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging IB English curriculum, ensuring alignment with program objectives, standards, and pedagogical best practices.
Integrate cutting-edge technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance the learning experience and cultivate digital literacy.
Differentiated Instruction:
Tailor instructional strategies adeptly to address diverse learning styles, abilities, and cultural backgrounds within the classroom.
Implement differentiated instruction techniques meticulously to accommodate the varied academic needs of students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Assessment and Feedback:
Design and administer a spectrum of formative and summative assessments to gauge student progress and achievement systematically.
Provide timely and incisive feedback to students, promoting continuous improvement and instilling a growth mindset.
Collaborative Planning:
Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues to forge interdisciplinary projects that seamlessly integrate English with other subject areas, fostering a holistic and well-rounded educational experience.
Participate actively in professional learning communities to share best practices, engage in discourse on student performance, and contribute to the realization of the school’s overarching educational objectives.
Student Engagement and Enrichment:
Orchestrate and participate in extracurricular activities, such as literary clubs, writing workshops, or drama productions, to further engage students and elevate their English language proficiency.
Foster a genuine passion for literature and language through creative and interactive learning experiences both within and beyond the confines of the classroom.
Parent and Community Communication:
Establish and maintain transparent and open channels of communication with parents to keep them apprised of their child’s progress, upcoming events, and opportunities for involvement.
Engage proactively with the local community to promote a positive and collaborative relationship between the school and its stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field.
Teaching certification.
A minimum of 4 years of teaching experience, preferably with a focus on the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering engaging and challenging English curriculum.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
