Head of Inclusion Vacancy – Deira Private School is hiring a Head of Inclusion for the Academic Year 2023-24.

Candidates must have the following minimum qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or Child Psychology with further SEND/leadership qualification. Ideally this would include SENCO qualification.
Three years of experience as a SEND teacher is mandatory. Experience as Head of Inclusion in British curriculum schools in Dubai/UAE is highly preferred.
Key responsibilities will be to:
Oversee the teaching and support of our SEND students across the school.
Lead the Inclusion, G and T and ELL teams, including our LSA team.
Monitor, and report upon progress of SEND students.
Liaise with all stakeholders including parents, external therapists and external providers.
Take responsibility for departmental budget.
Manage the Inclusion register and associated documents to ensure accuracy and transparency.
Work with admissions team and senior leaders to ensure all prospective students are accurately assessed prior to entry.
The successful candidate will be resilient with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will have experience of leading a team and effecting change in an educational setting and will have detailed knowledge of SEND, G and T and ELL teaching.
