To plan, organize, develop, and direct occupational therapy services per FSHN guidelines to ensure that the highest degree of quality patient care can be maintained at all times.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide quality care to the client by assessing and interpreting evaluations; determining occupational therapy treatment plans. Undertake occupational therapy-specific assessments, including standardized functional assessments.
Implement efficient occupational therapy programs to help the client regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities through the implementation of appropriate treatment programs.
Evaluate the results of OT treatment by observing and evaluating the improvements in the client’s physical or mental state as well as recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications in the course of the treatment plan.
Communicate with clients with a range of physical, cognitive, and communication difficulties. Ensure that feedback and information regarding the occupational therapy treatment is given to clients in a client-centered manner.
Advise the clients, and caretakers about all aspects of the client’s care that relate to their occupational therapy needs. Discuss with other pediatric team members about the client’s assessment results, and treatment plan and identify the alternative course of action if necessary.
Communicate with patients and caregivers, demonstrating the ability to deliver difficult diagnoses with tact and sympathy. Provide ongoing support to families during times of emotional distress. Manage distressed or aggressive patients or caregivers in complex and sensitive situations.
Record and maintain reports and documentation of occupational therapy treatments in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with FSHN safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
Commit to growing a caseload through continuous business development and involvement in the community.
Education & License

Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university.
Valid clinical license in Kuwait
Experience:

6 years of occupational therapy experience in the healthcare sector.
Sensory integration certificate
