Business Development Executive – Production House
Job Summary
Our Business Developers work alongside Account Executives and Communications Assistants responsible for a specific Huckster Productions territory. They scour the marketplace for opportunities — making new connections with businesses seeking video. Once a connection is made, the Business Developer works to secure new projects and educates the customer on how to best use video within their industry and line-of-business.
Business Developers are supported by other members within our Marketing team. Business Developers serve as brand ambassadors for Huckster Productions and are experts in our approach to Video Production. They understand how we help a variety of customers and keep track of changing industry standards and trends. Business Developers keep a close eye on referrals we receive and work to build relations with partners that bring in new customers.
Spending time in client meetings is a major part of the Business Developer role – they coordinate with marketing department to plan every detail and create a presentation that resonate with potential clients. Business Developers do their homework on a customer before meeting with them, in order to build a presentation that is well informed and leaves a positive impact on the potential client. Business Developers generally work to secure new customers for Huckster Productions.
Key Qualifications
Prior experience as Business Development executive for at least 2 years
Developed interpersonal skills, able to manage expectations and keep customers satisfied with their projects
Excellent communication skills, maintains Huckster Productions brand personality in all messaging
Analytical skills, tracks market and competitors to gain and maintain a competitive edge
Strategic, identifies opportunities that can contribute to a boost in sales
Leadership skills, working to increase profitability of their respective locations
High level understanding of pricing structure, ability to determine opportunities in their territory
Cooperative, work as a dynamic member of a team
Negotiation and sales skills, supports sales force while handling large clients
Creative approach to problem solving, able to pitch ideas for increasing revenue growth
Personable and relentless in cultivating potential business partners for Huckster Productions
Industry knowledge and expertise in video production
Up-to-date on industry trends in video production, and creating solutions to win new customers
