Network Security Engineer Jobs in Oman
Responsibilities:
Performing network design and capacity planning.
Security – Knowledge of advanced security trends and best practices.
Troubleshooting – Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Strong L2 and L3 network management experience.
Installing, Configuring Cisco, Fortinet, HP, and Dell Network Solutions.
Managing security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
Managing P2P connection over IPsec VPN and Dynamic routing with OSPF.
Hosting IIS websites on HTTPS.
Installing and maintaining Dell servers.
Maintaining Windows server environment including Hyper V replication, Active Directory, IIS and DNS.
Managing Office365 and Azure active directory.
Diagnoses problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate.
Identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems.
Budgeting for IT equipment’s, AMC’s and SLA’s.
Ensure helpdesk tickets are all attended within the SLA requirements
Install, configure, maintain and repair: systems, software, networking equipment’s.
Skills:
5+ year experience in Network & system administration including administration of routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VOIP phone system, VOIP phones, VSAT, Servers.
Preferred administrative experience and knowledge of Cloud (AWS, MS Azure) services
Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and issue management in a multi-platform environment
In depth knowledge of IP networking, VPN’s, DNS, WINS, load balancing and firewall technologies
In depth knowledge of VMWare, HP, IBM, Cisco, Dell and other major vendor HW/SW offerings
In Depth knowledge of system and network security best practices including governance.
