Bench Engineer

Working as a Maestro Bench Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the area and regional team by repairing and maintaining company owned Audio Visual equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Repair faulty equipment returned from site and complete all necessary documentation
Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately and within agreed timescales
Ensure work area is clean and tidy, disposal of parts that is in line with Company policy and relevant documentation is fully completed
Maintain all tools, spares and equipment within a safe working condition whilst seeking to optimize use of time and minimize cost
Completion of all required documentation and both manual and electronic records
Report all service-related issues to the Technical Manager / Technical Director
Provide onsite support as required to suit the needs of the business.
To carry out all duties, as detailed from line manager which aids the running of the business

Essential Skills or Experience:

Strong electronics background, demonstrable AV / Lighting fixture experience and knowledge.
Personable and communicative
Electrical / electronic engineering, soldering skills, cable wiring.
Qualified to a minimum level of HND or able to demonstrate equivalent experience / certificate
Ability to work individually and manage deadlines effectively. Equally experienced as working as part of a team.
Ability to work with hand tools.
PAT qualification preferred.
· Data interfaces RS232, 422 etc.
Knowledge of computer-based systems

Excellent communication skills.
A methodical, logical and practical approach.
Ability to prioritize work.
A positive and team-oriented approach, whilst being able to work autonomously.
Thorough understanding of Health and Safety principals.
Experience in the AV Industry environment preferred.
