We at Petrochemical Conversion Company is currently looking for Production Engineer for our Nylon 6,6 plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The job holder will support all aspects of the Nylon 6,6 plant operations, maintenance and business activities as well as providing leadership in all areas assigned by the Nylon Plant Manager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Qualifications: BS degree or higher in Chemical or Polymer Engineering.
Experience: Must have 7+ year experience in a Polymer or Hydrocarbon Operations, Technical position supporting Nylon 6,6 Polymer Plants operation management team. Experience in Nylon 6,6 Operation management level. Experience in developing, managing and leading small / minor projects or process technology investigations is essential. Experience commissioning and starting up polymer plants.
Knowledge: Has the knowledge & experience of PSM requirements, OSHA, NFPA, ISO, API, HAZOP, Risk assessment and basic Polymer Operation fundamentals.
Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written English communications skills. Proficient in MS-Office programs, Dynamix or SAP. Good interpersonal and mentoring skills; good multi-tasking skills; excel spreadsheet knowledge should be expert level (complex charts, pivot tables, etc.). Must know basic engineering calculations (hydraulic, control valve, heat and material balances, rating and design calculations for standard process equipment: exchangers, pumps, compressors, heaters, etc.).

PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES:
Document and maintain practices, and procedures that ensure safe, incident-free, reliable, cost effective plant operations and maintenance activities.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:
Support the department training programs to ensure all plant personnel work in a safe, incident-free manner. Develop and sponsor training programs for plant operations and maintenance. Help coach and mentor plant personnel in the safe, incident-free operation and maintenance of the Nylon Plant. Help ensure personnel understand and follow all plant safe work processes, PCC Tenets of Operations, and their roles and responsibilities for executing the plant Operational Excellence Management System practices and procedures.
CONTINUOUS RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT:
Provide support and direction to improvement teams working on equipment and in areas under Nylon 6,6 Plant control. Identify and track efficiency and cost data associated with all plant activities. Develop and communicate strategic improvement plans. Ensure improvement plans are aligned with and integrated into plant budgeting processes.
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND COMMUNICATIONS:
Support the preparation of manpower plans, expense budgets, and capital budgets that ensure the efficient execution of maintenance and turnaround activities.
CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT:
Help audit and provide oversight and coordination of contract personnel to ensure they work safely and provide a high quality of service to plant operations groups.
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT:
Ensure critical Department policies, practices and procedures are documented and maintained in accordance with the plant Operational Excellence System Standards and Specifications. Carry out document management and retention activities as scheduled and in a timely manner.
