JOB SUMMARY
Fully knowledgeable on FM both hard and soft – preferable FM certified.
Plan, co-coordinate and control the FM aspects of shopping mall management, strategies and activities that ensure the mall delivers and meets targets.
Active “On-the-floor” role, supporting and ensuring achievement of hygienically acceptable standards for a 230,000 m2 facility including the internal and external cleaning, waste management and recycling emanating from over 100,000 visitors and 400 tenants daily
Assist in managing the financial aspect of the mall.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement the strategies, tactics, processes, standards and policies and procedures for maintaining the mall to internationally recognized standards.
Implement contemporary best practice applications and processes.
Prepare, analyze respond to consumption statistics and status of recycling initiatives.
Implement the appropriate cleaning tactics for all internal and external facilities including car parks and signage with 3rd parties.
Implement and monitor water conservation program.
Proactive and direct monitoring of 3rd party contractual performance and ensure outputs realized according to international standards, necessitating extensive, continuous mobility throughout the mall.
Manage the hygiene and waste strategies of food-court .
Undertake and implement the outputs of a waste management assessment and define opportunities to reduce and recycle solid and liquid wastes. Implement remedies and opportunities for improvement with 3rd parties.
Participate in supporting community initiatives and undertakings to promote best practices in waste and recycling management.
Manage outsourced internal and external landscaping services, on a daily basis.
Ensure complete compliance with all health and safety requirements
Participate as Mall Duty Manager (evenings/shifts/weekends), as required.
Proactively work with tenants to ensure compliance with waste and recycling policies and procedures.
Provide value-adding input in creating a financially viable and sustainable investment vehicle
Monitor and review annual FM Budget
Manage the various FM disciplines
Administer capital improvement works; assist in the development of working and capital budgets
Administer, review and implement whole of life replacement programs
Provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholder, other division’s subordinate staff and clients.
Implement policies and procedures for the FM Department within the assets inclusive of Health & Safety
Implement and monitor Energy preservation scheme
Implement new technologies in the field of Facilities management
Support other team members of the FM Team
Implement and review energy efficient replacement programs
Review FM service’s delivery systems and develop strategic maintenance or replacement strategies.
Ability to gather and analysis DATA
Management of the Risk Management programme and Health & Safety
Actively participate in the review and approval of tenancy fit out documentation
Liaise with clients, staff and external consultants at all levels in matters relating to FM service delivery.
Actively participate in the review and approval of tenancy fit out documentation

Experience with AutoCAD, and MS Office.
Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Business capabilities:
4-6 years of experience as a FM manager or Engineer
Experience in the technical and operational management of Shopping Malls or mixed-use developments preferably within the Middle East.
Bottom-line oriented with the ability to control costs and maximize efficiencies. Ability to negotiate and manage existing contractual agreements.
Well-developed negotiation and analytical skills.
Excellent financial analysis related skills.
Relevant experience in the cleaning and landscaping management of high traffic, expansive public facilities.
