Position: Store manager
Reporting to: Retail Manager
Job description:
Team Management
Plan and implement weekly schedules, taking into consideration store operations and the required coverage
Check personal presentation of the team and ensure that all employees in the store respect company policy, uniform, and personal appearance policy (makeup, personal hygiene, etc.)
Manage and allocate duties to employees within the store
Ensure store expectations and priorities are communicated to the team
Conduct regular and relevant in-store training, ensuring a major focus on customer service, product knowledge and selling skills
Sales and Commercial
Achieve the revenue targets for their store by motivating the team, providing feedback, and leading by example
Actively seek ways to achieve or exceed the store’s sales targets, engage with the team, and drive performance
Monitor sales performance against previous years (monthly, weekly, and daily) to provide feedback to the team and support other departments with feedback and ideas needed for development of the business
Ensure 100% implementation of the Retail SOPs and visual displays
Support with the creation and change of in-store and window displays, designs, and look to enhance the store’s image
Customer Focus
As much as possible, support with creating arrangements according to client’s requirements and in respect of the company’s design standards
Support with the selection of flowers and foliage for floral arrangements, working with the team of florists to develop new creations
Ensure that customers are always attended to and deliver excellent service standards at all times through proper execution of the company’s policies related to customer service i.e. exchanges and refunds, quality, taking orders, phone and email etiquette …etc.
Inventory and Stock Control
Monitor the store inventory and report to the head management on the shortage of inventory and wastage.
Set procedures to enable the placement of orders to purchase flowers and supplies from distributors
Monitor and manage fresh flowers wastage and ensure that it’s kept at a minimum, by continuously reviewing sales patterns, customer preferences, accounting for peak times, and ordering fresh flowers accordingly
Ensure accurate stock merchandise and management (stock ageing, stock loss, space management) within the store
Oversee cash transaction entry and management: petty cash, POS cash transactions, cash floats and ensure that cash is deposited promptly once the cash limit is reached
Prepare and review store reports on sales, and stock ageing (slow moving, fast moving and non-moving products)
Required skills and experience:
Good working knowledge of computers
Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
Organizational skills
Leadership skills
Fluency in English and Arabic
Floristry skills are a plus, but not a requirement
Experience working with luxury brands
