To assess a patient’s needs and to notify changes in a patientโs condition in emergency situations and respond accordingly.
To document in a timely manner all Nursing actions and procedures.
To initiate and perform a range of Nursing measures based on patient needs related to physical and mental comfort, cultural and safety, with special reference to needs of hygiene, nutrition and hydration, elimination, skin integrity, cardiac and respiratory needs.
To administer medications as per B.S.H Nursing Policies.
To educate the patient and their family members to meet optimum care.
To be part of a nursing care team by fulfilling own duties, seeking assistance when needed and willingly helping out others.
To act as a role model and maintain good interpersonal relationships and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams, and willing to be allocated in any other areas among the Nursing Department.
To provide a safe environment for patients staff and visitors by being alert to safety issues and to report and document any safety issues to the immediate supervisor.
To utilize equipment, supplies and medications in a cost effective manner and to report malfunction, loss or misuse of items to immediate supervisor.
To participate in a continuing educational program for professional growth.
To assist in the orientation of new staff in assuming the preceptor role for junior staff.
