Cyber Security Expert – Risk Governance & compliance – up to 4,000 OMR
We are currently looking for an experienced Cyber Security Expert to join one of the largest Oil & Gas companies in Oman. This role would be a perfect opportunity for someone looking to advance their career and looking for a challenge to help step up into Senior Management.
The role is based in Oman and all applicants MUST be Omani Nationals
The role will be to lead the activities for Cyber Security, under head of IDS, as the owner of Cybersecurity policies, procedures and standards for the company, and cyber security risk management with IT/OT + other departments

We are looking for someone with the following experience (Non negotiable)
6+ years’ experience in Cyber Security ideally within the Oil & Gas industry
Extensive experience in managing cyber risk programs and assessments
Strong experience in managing information and cyber security awareness programs
Experience in cyber security policies, standards and guidelines
Working experience in industries like Oil & Gas, Energy and Utilities
Experience in risk and incident analysis.
Preferred certification: cyber and security management (e.g. CISSP,CRISC, CISM, CSOCA), IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL, COBIT).
Details of the position (What you’ll be doing!)
Provide thoughts, advice and lead the execution of cyber-policies, procedures and standards that are in line with best practices and industry trends and that offer the end-to-end protection of systems, networks and information against cyber-attacks
Lead the communications of cyber security policies and guidelines and ensure compliance in order to achieve an incident free IT operational environment
Lead the preparation of Regulatory and compliance requirements with regard to cyber security matters
Conduct cyber security end-to-end risk assessments and the overall cyber security risk management framework
Report to head of IDS risks, vulnerabilities and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance
Lead the development and executes the metrics and reporting framework that measures the efficiency and effectiveness of the cyber security program
Act as Single point of accountability for cyber security risk management at the company and liaison with IT/OT and other departments
Ensure adherence to all IT back-office licenses and agreements.
Establish the Digital Identity governance covering framework, processes, policies and technologies that facilitate the management of digital identities across the company
