Job Description: Brand Manager for Baby/Kids Toys & Games

(Bilingual Arabic & English)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Learning and sharing product knowledge

2. Understand the specific features and values of the brand assigned.

3. Develops and recommends marketing and/or launch plans/strategies for assigned brands, including plans to correct shortfalls from planned results e.g., trade/consumer promotions/incentives.

4. Initiates and maintains records of brand sales performance, including advertising and sale promotion spending against budget.

5. Monitors distribution effectiveness and sales compliance of planned brand and merchandize allocation

6. Establishes and maintains records of opportunities opened and retail expansions for brand accounts.

7. Initiates and maintains continuous evaluation of market data and information related to the market including competitive brand information and monitors brand performance vs. direct competitive brands.

8. Liaison with principals/suppliers of brands assigned, plan and implement marketing platform, e.g., brand position, product forecast, merchandise flow, formalization of purchase orders. Keep detailed sales and stock reports etc.

9. Liaison with advertising agencies to ensure production deadlines are met and planned advertising is carried out correctly.

10. Excellently negotiate price, shipping/export conditions and labelling requirements per local law.

11. Maintains close contact with Sales and merchandising teams to ensure that:

• Staff is properly briefed on new launches.

• Plans and objectives are correctly and clearly understood and implemented.

• Window and in-store displays are correctly presented and maintained.

12. Ensure stock availability within reasonable inventory levels.

13. Order and ensures the optimal stock level of brands and merchandise items per the retail data trend and consumer demand.

14. Controls purchases and stock level according to established company rules and regularly check the inventory level

15. Ensure the good rotation of products by implementing brand guidelines.

16. Participate in stock-taking (counting and describing the goods in stock)

17. Be aware of health, safety and welfare issues and practices

18. Performs Brand Management tasks as deemed necessary.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing with a technical or education degree in Fashion Retailing or Retail Management; a Master’s in Business Administration would be preferable.

2. Sound financial, marketing, and global retailing acumen. At least 3 years of leadership working experience in any related retail management or marketing experience.

3. Knowledge of marketing, brand and sales management techniques and tools

4. Strong multicultural awareness; thorough strategic understanding of customers and local market

5. Strong team building leadership with the capability to manage, engage and inspire people manifested through product and technical knowledge sharing

6. Sound supplier relation management

7. Strong tactical and strategic business leadership to align retail operations business and functions towards global and commercial excellence.
