Role Purpose
Process all Civil Inspection Works in PW&IE department in accordance with NEOM PWIE & ETSD procedures
Key Accountabilities & Activities :
The QC Civil Field Inspector provides civil quality inspection support for the PWIE department for all project stages including the design, procurement, construction execution, and handover phases and ensure the contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers are adhere to the standards, procedures, specifications, and requirements.
Key area of responsibility will be in the inspection of material, and installations.
Knowledge,Skills and Experience :
Inspect and record the construction works carried out by the contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on sites including Work Inspection Requests, Material Inspection Requests, Material Approval Requests, etc.
Technical knowledge to review and approve the Civil Documents, Material Samples and Mock ups on concrete systems, piles and footings.
Able to verify and ensure compliance of installations and construction tasks to design drawings,and IFC package requirements.
Ensure performance of the work carried out in accordance with the drawings, specifications and installations include framing, excavation works, concrete works, waterproofing works, asphalt works, gypsum board walls installations, wooden wall installations, façade installation, metal panel installation, WBS system installation, ceilings tiles installations, marble and ceramic flooring installation, wall tiles installation, wall marble installations, drop ceilings installations, familiar with verifications and testing methods.
Able to review designs including IFC, Shop, Redlined, and as-built Drawings.
Issue, record and track the site civil generated issues such as NCRs and Observations.
The ability and experience to periodically review and approve civil submittals.
Adhere to safe working methods and report for any activity on sites.
Maintain records of site resources, daily quality of work, inspections, tests, construction drawings,method statements and Inspection and Test Plans.
Enhance the culture of the site engineers and labors.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Qualifications :
A university degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in civil works (i.e., Infrastructure and Building Services, piping, plumbing, pumps, HVAC, fire protection, etc.)
Good experience of field inspections , code compliance and final acceptance criteria of the quality of work.
Good knowledge of inspection test plans and procedures.
Work experience with consultants for Inspection of construction activities on site.
Familiar with use of computer skills.
Experience with a reputable document control system – ACONEX ( Preferable)
