FLAVORIQ
FLAVORIQ DMCC, a young and dynamic company in the flavouring industry, is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its Dubai team and handle the day-to-day accounting for both local entities.
This is a part-time position which will require 25 hours per week, there is potential for the position to become full-time eventually. A work visa and health insurance will be provided, if necessary, for the candidate.
Responsibilities
Perform and oversee financial data and compliance by:
Maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations
Recording day-to-day financial transactions in accounting system and ensure all transactions are recorded in the correct day book (supplier ledger, customer ledger, general ledger)
Undertake the quarterly VAT / Tax return and refunds process : prepare, submit on the FTA portal, and follow-up appropriately
Take responsibility for the yearly audit in partnership with our external auditor
Manage clients accounting by sharing past-dues with the team and sending payment reminders as needed
Act as an advisor on changes in the UAE taxation law
Undertake general administrative duties such as maintaining the hard and soft copy invoice filing system, assist with administrative enquiries
Generate financial reports as needed
Qualifications
Over 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, at least 2 years of experience with UAE VAT filing
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
Advanced computer skills, especially Excel and accounting softwares
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Structure, reliability, and a sense of responsibility are must haves
Proficiency in English language, written & spoken, is a must. Any other language, an asset
