Responsibilities:
Offer technical advice for helicopter repair and maintenance.
Address maintenance issues and ensure the proper functioning of system components.
Determine appropriate procedures for repairing rolled arming equipment.
Identify recurring malfunctions, take necessary measures before repair, and prepare material reports.
Assess whether aircraft parts need dismantling, repair, or replacement to complete the task.
Repair malfunctions in helicopter components such as machine guns, launch aids, missile carriers, and control devices.
Inspect helicopters and determine the required inspection type.
Generate reports detailing missing materials needed for repairs.
Assess individual performance.
Manage and oversee training programs.
Instruct RSAF personnel on using Air Force manuals and kits.
Provide training to Air Force personnel at various levels (Levels 3, 5, 7, and 9).
Qualifications:
Possesses certificates specializing in Cougar-type helicopters.
Demonstrates knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals, fluids, electricity, helicopter wiring, internal components, and connections, enabling operation, loading, unloading, and firing of weapons, along with adherence to safety protocols.
Holds a degree from a military or equivalent civilian institute.
Has achieved an educational level of 12 or above.
Exhibits proficiency in spoken and written English, attaining a minimum grade of 85%.
Skills:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Cougar helicopter specialization.
Recent practice in the same field within the last three (3) years.
Proficiency in identifying specific maintenance needs for the armament system of the helicopters.
Capability to interpret technical drawings related to helicopter armament system extensions.
Ability to determine the appropriate maintenance for repairing malfunctioning helicopter parts.
Completion of advanced courses in the same specialization.
