I am currently working with a private entity who are in search of an Internal IT Audit Manager
Job Role
Oversee the development of yearly audit plans and programs designed to assess the IT and Cyber Security operations of the organization
Support the development to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the Internal Audit process.
Identify the requirements for the Internal Audit Department and ensure the same is communicated to the governing body to be reflected in the department’s annual budget.
Update the IT and Cyber Security risk registers periodically ensuring that all controls and risks are updated and appropriately captured.
Revise preliminary Internal Audit reports, detailing the risks, impacts, and recommendations for each identified observation.
Conduct exit/validation meetings with relevant process owners (e.g., department heads/functions) to validate and confirm the identified observations.
Perform Gap Analysis reviews to pinpoint vulnerabilities in the organisations IT internal controls, systems, policies, and procedures, and suggest enhancements.
Assess and propose actions in response to deficiencies in IT and Cyber Security internal controls, adherence to policies and procedures, and precision of financial information.
Compose Internal Audit reports outlining risks, impacts, and recommendations for each identified observation.
Conduct exit/validation meetings with relevant process owners (e.g., heads of departments/functions) to validate and affirm observations.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, Risk Management or any related field or MBA
7-10 years of relevant experience
Certifications such as certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Information Security Auditor.
