Requirements and responsibilities
Outpatient department manager creates, directs, and implements the policies and procedures for the outpatient services function.
Ensures a high level of quality care and services for patients by coordinating and communicating operational procedures to staff and various departments.
Being an Outpatient Services Director monitors, evaluates, and modifies programs while adhering to company guidelines and standards.
Requires a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Outpatient Services Director typically reports to top management.
The Outpatient Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.
Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
