Operations

Complex situations are communicated to the next level of management in a timely fashion and issues are dealt with effectively
Ensures compliance with food and hygiene regulations, licensing conditions and codes of practice relating to food businesses.
Implements and reviews the food safety management system based on HACCP principles
Advises and supervises food handlers on the proper food handling practices and ensures their observance.
Identifies key areas of risk in various food operations for early remedial actions.
Conducts daily kitchen inspections on the personal, environmental and food hygiene conditions and provides a corrective action plan and keeps records on the findings.
Checks daily cleaning status in kitchens with respective kitchen managers and stewarding.
Ensures the temperature of refrigerators and freezers are up to the standard.
Coordinates microbial food tests with kitchens and laboratory in case of new products/suppliers and suspected food borne illness complaints.
Oversees the activities of workers who are involved in Inspecting materials and ensuring that they meet the quality standards specified by the company.
Supervises the handling and processing of all raw materials into end products.
Monitors and verifies the alignment of work flow processes with Company’s Hygiene, Food Safety & Health & Safety Standards reporting any non-Conformity in order to initiate corrective actions.
Conducts internal food safety inspection.
Ensures that HACCP plan is followed at all times.
Education and Qualification

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Food Safety related field or equivalent vocational accreditation in Health & Safety, Quality Assurance or Food Safety
Work Experience

Possesses at least 2-3 years working experience in hospitality, catering, airline catering or FMCG manufacturing industry sector
 Skills and Abilities

Fluent in English and Arabic
Advanced degree in Health & Safety certification
Intermediate MS Office knowledge
Demonstrates great time management and organizational skills
Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
