Industrial Design Manager Jobs in Oman
Aphcarios Engineering Solutions is a Muscat-based product development company. We design and develop new and innovative (mostly patentable) Electro-Mechanical devices from concept to final production stage. We are seeking an experienced industrial designer engineer to lead the product development department. The successful candidate will possess solid technical and leadership skills to lead the development of new and innovative products. He will have a wide breadth and depth in the journey to create an electro-mechanical product, starting from concept creation and ideations, details design, and prototyping all the way to a final product optimized for manufacturing. Deep knowledge of materials and their manufacturing processes is essential for this job.
Minimum of 10 years of Industrial Design experience in designing electro-mechanical products
A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (other relevant degrees will also be considered)
Solid track record in project management and leading teams in the development of consumer products, electronics products, automotive products, and plastic products
Experience in design of injection molds, sheet metal, moving mechanisms, and CNC metal fabrication.
Candidate to demonstrate design for manufacturing capability.
Factory shop-floor experience is a plus.
Expert knowledge in Manufacturing standards and documentations
Expertise in quality control and assurance systems (ISO 9001)
Knowledge of Design workflow processes from concept to manufacturing
Experience in any of the main design software (Fusion 360 , Solidwork, ANSYS, INVENTOR , CATIA etc)
Supply chain management experience (RFQ, global sourcing, inventory management etc.)
Aesthetic talent will be a highly valued additional skill
