We are hiring a cryptocurrency news writer/journalist to join the Dubai team. This is an opportunity to join one of the industry’s most widely followed crypto media companies, where you’ll be writing about the pressing news developments in the global cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
We are open to both part-time and full-time journalists. An ideal candidate should be fluent in Arabic who also speak English.
Responsibilities
• Monitor and report on the latest news and announcements that come out each day
• Writing articles that not only inform the reader about what has happened but also what it means for the industry.
• Liaise with major companies, niche projects and stakeholders, conducting interviews and sourcing original and pertinent stories. (Delete if not necessary)
• Writing headlines and social media copy that draws in readers without being clickbait
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and ideally, knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. You thrive working on your own but also love working as part of a team. You also will have the following skills:
• Ability to learn on the fly and keep track of day-to-day news flow in a quickly evolving industry.
• Expert Arabic writing skills
• Deep knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry.
• Exceptional attention to detail and fact-checking skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in news judgment.
• Strong skills in interviewing and building relationships with sources.
• Work well within a team and organization.
• Three years of writing experience
