Integrated Energy Model Specialist
Job Purpose:
· The Integrated Energy Model Specialist is responsible for supporting the Integrated Energy Model Senior Specialist on the energy (excluding power and water) modeling works within the modeling team and works of developing, operating, maintaining, and updating the assigned energy models.
· The Integrated Energy Model Specialist is also in charge of carrying out the benchmarking exercises on the assigned models and ensuring the implementation of the recommendations as directed.
· The Integrated Energy Model Specialist is responsible for operationalizing the governance framework(s) of the assigned energy models and ensuring adherence to the same in performing the different tasks and assignments and proposing any modifications to the management.
· The Integrated Energy Model Specialist will support the preparation of the modeling and assessment requirements for the requests raised to support the Management in responding to such with the models’ results.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in energy Engineering, or Economics, etc.
· At least 3-5 years of related experience (energy sector modeling/electricity and water sector modeling, data management, policy development, etc.).
· Preferably, experience with energy modeling tools (e.g., PLEXOS, AURORA, TIMES, or any other tool developed and used by reputable global organizations).
