Quality Assurance Section Head
Job purpose
The jobholder is responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance activities including testing and reporting to ensure quality of developments in the digital architecture and platforms and applications design.
Responsibilities
Manage the development of digital quality control and testing policies, procedures, methods, objectives, resources, and time scale needed for the testing environment
Manage the implementation of architecture quality assurance policies and procedures, quality plans, etc. through all stages of development life cycle in order to ensure compliance with standards
Manage the development of documentation guidelines (design, development, testing, software, product, user, etc.) and supervise implementation to ensure standardization and consistency
Maintain a stable and accurate test environment to ensure software testing success within acceptable costs and timelines
Manage the development of test cases, scripts and scenarios to link testing specifications and activities to detailed business requirements
Approve testing plans including scopes and testing schedules
Manage various testing (performance, regression, integration, systems, security, user acceptance, ad-hoc, etc.) according to testing plans and schedules to find defects during architecture development and ensure end results meet business and users requirements
Manage troubleshooting, in coordination with end-users and Development teams, issues of reproducing, investigating and debugging software
Review defects reports, assign test defects to appropriate team member and follow-up resolution in order to close defects according to release schedule
Resolve complex testing issues in order to avoid any delay or conflicts
Track test metrics (such as number of post-implementation defects reported by users) in order to evaluate the performance of the testing activities
Manage the development of test metrics and performance reports in order to provide accurate testing status and progress to stakeholders
Education, Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
Software Quality Assurance certificate or Certified Test Engineer (CTE) or Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ) or any other equivalent certification is a must
English language level: Advance
Experience
7+ years of relevant experience
Experience in digital quality assurance
Previous experience in healthcare sector or government sector or regulatory bodies is preferable
