Jr. Naval Architect

Role Description:

Naval Architect with strong teamwork and technical skills required in an international yacht manufacturing company.

Responsibilities:

Liaise with clients and /or class for the basic design of ships and boats.

Should possess the ability to consistently coordinate with the design team and the client for the basic design of ships and boats.

Carry out stability and related calculations.

Prepare GA and technical specifications.

Naval Architectural Calculations.

Preparation of class approval and statutory plans.

Knowledge of class rules, IMO, and flag state authority regulations (SOLAS, Lloyd’s, DNV, ABS, IRS etc.).

Hull surface fairing.

Knowledge of Naval Architectural software MAXSURF and modelling software RHINO or equivalent is preferred.

Mechanical and offshore structures background with experience in structural analysis and use of FEA software is desirable.

Willing to relocate to client site, either domestic or International on short notice.

Any other associated task or responsibilities assigned from time to time by the organization.

Job Requirements:

Mandatory Qualifications:

B.Tech/BE/equivalent in Naval Architecture

Work experience of 6-12 months in the relevant industry (Work experience as an intern also counts as relevant work experience).

Good analytical, technical, communication, problem-solving and collaborative skills.

Strong team player and attention to detail.

Minimum service commitment of 2 years in our company.
