The role of the AOCC Manager is to lead and develop a 24X7 team to support the day-to-day control of Airport Operations and continue to develop the AOCC product in conjunction with the OPS Management Team. The role holder will ensure that all units represented within the AOCC are focused on a delivering a high-end service to internal and external stakeholders and to our guests of the airport. The focus shall be on ensuring optimal guest services, seamless travel arrangements, aerodrome regulation compliance and quick rectification of any faults. This critical role requires dynamic decision making and integral thought process enabling the operation of the airport to function safely and in line with the business requirements.

Role Purpose:

To lead the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) function including:

Operations Planning and Forecasting
Stakeholder Integration
Disruption Planning & Resilience Exercises
Control Room Skills Development & Capability Building
Post Incident Review & Mitigation
The job holder is responsible for driving the performance of the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC) duty teams including coordinating with the leadership teams of other operational departments and stakeholders.
The job holder is responsible for instilling company values and behaviours and leading, inspiring and developing the team of AOCC personnel. This includes developing and monitoring appropriate individual/team/shift KPIs as required to continually upskill staff and improve operational delivery.
The job holder shall be based at RSI working normal office working hours but may be required to work operational shifts during disruption/emergency events.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree-level Qualification in Project Management, Business Management or Leadership Discipline
5 years in a Control Centre Operation experience (desirable not essential).
Aviation operational control centre management
Crisis management skills
Airport emergency and security procedures
Slot Approval & Capacity Management
Airport control centre systems
Solid Airport People Management experience is required.
Experience of successfully leading a diverse, co-dependent team in a 24/7 operation.
