The Senior Accountant is responsible for the development and implementation of cost accounting systems, as well as the analysis and reporting of cost data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience with cost accounting software.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems
Able to calculate and understand product costing and pricing
Prepare bespoke sales quotations, budgets and forecasts
Monthly variance analysis with commentary
Control cost, identify and recommend cost-savings opportunities
Comply with accounting standards
Inventory management – Ensure compliance with the policy and regular stock count activity.
Able to handle audits and reviews independently
Monthly MIS and Annual accounts finalization
Accounts payable, receivable management including petty cash, bank reconciliation and payroll
Prepare weekly/monthly cashflow and discuss with the management
Able to prepare and file VAT returns
Required Experience:
Master’s degree in accounting or Qualified Accountant registered with worldwide Accounting body (CPA, ACCA , ICMA, ICAEW, CMA)
3+ years retail and gifting experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Experience with cost accounting software
