The Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) is seeking a Registrar to join the team. DIDI is a world-class design university located in the Dubai Design District. Interdisciplinary design education is at the core of DIDI’s mission, with a curriculum developed in collaboration with the MIT School of Architecture and Urban Planning and Parsons the New School.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

Facilitating effective student registration and enrollment.
Preparing course schedules, academic calendars, and final exam schedules.
Review and release of student final grades.
Maintaining and organizing Students’ files.
Notifying students and faculty of the timeline and processes for student registration.
Supervising and maintaining the Student Information System and degree audit systems.
Supervising the process of transfer credits, enrollment, and degree verification.
Preparing official transcripts, official letters, and diplomas.
Counseling and advising students, faculty, and staff on academic matters related to student academic progress.
Interpreting and enforcing academic policies and regulations
Advising students on graduation requirements, overseeing the commencement ceremony, assisting with graduation clearance, and other related matters.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant undergraduate degree qualification.
3 – 5 years of relevant work experience in a university environment in the UAE.
Proficiencies

Excellent knowledge and understanding of the education process.
Strong working knowledge of MS products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience in maintaining Student Information Systems and Learning Management Systems (preferably Moodle).
Familiar with UAE MOE regulations regarding reporting requirements.
Excellent written and spoken English skills. Arabic desirable. Needs to be very organized and able to handle multiple tasks on an ongoing basis.
Proactive and willing to take initiatives and incorporate changes and improvements.
Must have an empathetic character that is easily approachable and can deal with student situations calmly and with care.
