The Unique Opportunity

Due to continuing company success and expansion plans, the Aerospace & Defence (A&D) Business Practice is seeking a Principal Consultant, based in the Middle East (Dubai, Saudi Arabia) office, to lead research and consulting projects in the Aerospace Airlines & Airports market. This exciting role will support our global work in sustainable aviation, airport modernization, and innovations for the future.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for the development of thought provoking research, across a range of aviation and airport-related topics, including passenger, baggage and cargo handling systems, airport security the digital transformation of airport business models and processes, as well as envisioning the future of airport up to 2050.

The successful candidate will also be expected to take responsibility of strategy consulting projects, across the full spectrum of the aviation value chain, while building client relationships in the Gulf region and beyond.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Master’s Degree or MBA in a related engineering or business discipline
8-10 years of work experience in the Aviation industry, especially airports and airlines.
Excellent understanding of the trends in the Aerospace industry; the key players, business models, technology, and operations.
Knowledge of the wider Aerospace industry dynamics and its key players, including Aircraft OEMs, MROs and other Aftermarket suppliers.
Demonstrated interest in Digital Transformation trends
Strong business acumen, leadership, team player, and analytical skills
Demonstrating personal qualities that include being self-starter, fast-learner, visionary, pragmatic
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with complete fluency in English
Fluency in Arabic and other languages will be an added advantage
Engineering qualification will be a plus
Experience in developing approaches to market/problem analysis and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data will be added advantage
Ability to work with junior, peer, and senior team members locally & remotely

Key Responsibilities:

Lead in promoting the Frost knowledge brand, and network in industry to drive Frost Aerospace & Space business opportunities for future business
Develop and win proposals presenting a compelling Frost & Sullivan value proposition and competitive edge to our clients
Lead and manage profitable, quality project delivery of client engagements, globally
Identify relevant strategies for clients, based on market insights and own critical thinking
Manage multiple research and consulting projects
Facilitate workshops with clients in person, and virtually
Commit to continuous learning, tracking global market trends and developing a perspective on technological innovations, the competitive landscape, impact of economic trends on the industry, evolving end-user requirements and regulatory changes
Undertake business development by attending/speaking at trade shows, delivering conference presentations and online analyst briefings, taking part in sales calls, writing insightful industry articles and using social media to promote aviation content
Complete high quality research and consulting projects on time and on budget

Typical projects can cover (a sample list):

Facilitating & advising client workshops developing the Saudi/UAE/Korean airport modernization strategies
Writing general-reading research reports on airport commercial and operational systems for our frost.com portal
Developing a market entry or expansion strategy plan for our clients
Facilitating a new/prospective client workshop to identify market opportunities in an aviation market segment – a Growth Pipeline Dialog
Benchmarking competitive strategies across aviation market segments
Developing comprehensive excel-based market sizing and forecasting market models
Performing Commercial and Strategic Due Diligence of Aviation and Aerospace companies
